Install your first agent
Open the marketplace — your factory's workforce — hire a specialist, and understand what installing actually copies.
Agents come from the marketplace: it is your factory's workforce. Installing one gives your workspace its own copy of the agent's skill — which is the whole point, and the thing to understand before you start editing.
If you started your workflow from a template, this has already happened: the template installed the agents it needed and put them on their stations. This page is for hiring more.
Open the marketplace
In your workspace, go to Marketplace. Two tabs:
- Marketplace — the catalogue the platform maintains. 212 agents: software, business and management teams, and 172 community skills with their authors credited. Filter by category and search by specialty.
- My agents — the ones installed in this workspace, or written by you. This is the list a station chooses from.
Install one
Pick an agent and choose Install. It appears under My agents, marked Your copy · revision 1.
A reasonable first four, if you are building a delivery workflow by hand:
| Agent | Specialty | Put it on |
|---|---|---|
| Sarah | Senior Business Analyst | Backlog |
| Zoe | Product Designer | Design |
| Alex | Senior React Engineer | Development |
| Maya | QA Engineer | QA |
What installing copies
Installing copies the agent's skill — the written brief that tells it what it is good at, how to work, what evidence it owes you and what it must never claim — into an agent that belongs to your workspace.
From that moment:
- Editing your copy changes nothing for anyone else.
- The platform improving the catalogue version does not rewrite your copy.
- Reset skill restores the version you installed, exactly.
Read Skills before you edit one; there are a few lines in every shipped skill that are load-bearing.
Or write your own
Create your own agent takes a name, a specialty and a skill. That agent behaves exactly like an installed one — it can hold a station, it can be chatted with, it can be deactivated. See Writing your own agent.
Turning one off
The power button on an agent under My agents deactivates it. A deactivated agent is not offered to stations and does not pick up new work; nothing is deleted, and its past runs stay on the cards.
