Reusable workspace skills
Publish immutable instruction packages, pin dependencies and compose a worker from explicit versions.
Open the workspace Agent marketplace → Workspace skills. These packages supplement a worker's base instructions. They are separate from community marketplace skills that install as complete agents.
Publish a package
Give the skill a name, description, instructions and release note. Select any dependencies by exact version. Declare packages it conflicts with when they should not be used together.
Publishing creates an immutable version. To change it, choose Publish next version. Existing workers stay pinned to their selected versions. A new release never silently changes their production instructions.
Dependencies must belong to the same workspace. CodeBook rejects cycles, incompatible versions of the same package and declared conflicts in the complete dependency tree. A package cannot depend on an earlier version of itself. Each workspace supports up to 100 packages, with up to 100 versions per package.
Compose a worker
Choose an installed worker. Its base instructions are editable separately from its reusable skills. Select an exact version for each package you want to include, then choose Validate and preview.
The preview shows the resolved dependency order and combined instructions. Dependencies appear before the skills that need them, and each package appears once. Composition supports up to 40 resolved skills and 100,000 instruction characters. Apply composition saves the worker's pinned configuration; a stale edit is refused if another person changed the worker first.
The regular agent editor continues editing the base instructions. Resetting the base preserves the pinned packages. Tool access, repository-write grants and autonomy remain controlled by existing worker/station settings; a skill cannot grant permissions.
Update or roll back
Select a newer version explicitly, validate and apply. To roll back, select an older version and apply again. Remove all direct selections to return to the base instructions alone. Dependencies of remaining selections are still included.
This provides versioned skill composition. Use the Agent studio to snapshot compiled instructions, evaluate datasets and control supported production runs. Publishing a skill alone does not evaluate or release it. Worker learning proposals can be reviewed as studio candidates and evaluated before release.
